We obtain most information directly from you, but certain device data is collected automatically using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9 – Cookies).
3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share personal information only when necessary:
• Service providers. Trusted partners such as Shopify (e-commerce platform) and payment gateways process your data strictly on our instructions.
• Legal or regulatory obligations. We may disclose data if required by law, court order or to enforce our rights.
We do not sell personal information for money or other compensation.
4. BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
With your consent (where required), we use tools such as Google Analytics and Shopify Audiences to understand how visitors use the Site and to show adverts that are more relevant to you. You can opt out at any time:
• Google Ads: google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
• Facebook: facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
• Bing: advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads
You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page at optout.aboutads.info to set broader advertising preferences.
5. LAWFUL BASES FOR PROCESSING (UK/EU GDPR)
We only process personal information when at least one of the following applies:
1. Consent – you have given clear permission.
2. Contract – processing is necessary to perform or enter into a contract with you.
3. Legal obligation – we must comply with the law.
4. Vital interests – to protect someone’s life.
5. Public task – to carry out a function in the public interest.
6. Legitimate interests – our genuine business reasons, provided these are not overridden by your rights.
7. RETENTION
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. For example, UK tax law generally requires us to retain order records for at least six years. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.
7. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you solely by automated means. Shopify may perform limited automated checks (e.g. temporary IP or card blacklists) to help prevent fraud—these do not have significant effects on you.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your information (“the right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Port your data to another service.
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email [team@roblate.com](mailto:team@roblate.com). We will respond within one month.
California residents (CCPA): Rob Late Audio does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. We honour “Do Not Sell or Share” requests and recognise opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).
9. COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you browse the Site. Some are essential for the Site to work; others help us measure performance or show relevant ads. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but blocking them may affect how the Site works.
We use the standard Shopify cookie set listed at shopify.com/legal/cookies, plus Google Analytics cookies. Cookie lifetimes range from one session to two years.
10. DO NOT TRACK
Because there is no industry consensus on handling “Do Not Track” signals, we currently do not change our data collection when we detect such a signal.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, emailed to you.
12. HOW TO COMPLAIN
If you have concerns about our privacy practices, please contact us first at [team@roblate.com](mailto:team@roblate.com). If we cannot resolve your issue, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or with your local supervisory authority.
Thank you for reading—your privacy matters to us at Rob Late Audio.
